Why is my laptop so crap?

NeatSquidYT

On my laptop, I can get 20-30fps on COD4 at the lowest settings at a stupidly low resolution. THIS GUY CAN RUN GTA4 AT MIDDLE SETTINGS. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY LAPTOP?!?!?!

EDIT: I've checked and I have the same processor as this guy, but I'm using a Radeon HD 4250. But still, come on!

Thermals maybe? I'm assuming you have the same laptop. Maybe updating the drivers could help as well?

I updated the graphics drivers a couple of weeks ago. This is a ~3-4 years old laptop

Ok, I played CoD 4 at lowest settings at 720p and got 25-40fps on a 40 ping server. Why?!?!

I already said that.

Why would you see fit to make note of that? it's a common occurrence for multiple people to give an answer on a thread despite others giving a similar answer before them. This happens on pretty much every thread, this is called information reinforcement. If someone makes a thread asking a question and takes the first reply they receive as the best answer then they could potentially walk away with bad information. Multiple people saying the same thing is a mutual agreement between them that a particular answer is the right one in the opinion of those who posted thus reinforcing that as the right answer to the OP.

Why someone would complain about this is beyond me.
