Asus PB238Q vs Dell U2414H

Luc-Jeez

Hi, which is the best monitor to go for around 200 euro's?

I was thinking about the Dell Ultrasharp U2414H or the Asus PB238Q.

Anybody any suggestions?

I'm gaming on it, watching movies and I like IPS so it's definetely going to be IPS.

Peace

The dell monitor wins due to the smaller bezel and the fact of it being a dell monitor meaning you have vastly superior customer support and the chances of failure are a lot lower.

Take in mind that the dell monitor uses hdmi and display port, the asus has every port, vga, dvi, hdmi, displayport.

Well, I have a gtx 770 but I don't know the con's or pro's of connecting a monitor with displayport.

DisplayPort is superior to all the others. If you have it, use it. As for the Dell/Asus they are both good but I'd prefer the Asus because it is a matte finish instead of the glossy that Dell has a tendency to use.

Yeah I agree! Matte is always better. But you know any other good monitors like that? 24 inch IPS?

The Dell U2414H is pretty much best-in-class in the 24" category.  And it does use a Matte finish.

the Dell Ultrasharp U2312HM i have is the best monitor ive ever had. im sure the new version of it will be just as good.

Ah nice! I'm just going to buy an IPS panel and a TN panel and test them both out at home, if I don't feel any sort of difference I'll keep the IPS one :)

Not for long as of yet. But same applies, much nicer colours and an overall smoother look.
