nh-d15 ram clearance issue

Karl96

I have an nh-d15  and i cant fit my ram in when i put the second fan on in the front . So i waned to ask if i could but the second fan in the back facing my case exhaust (nzxt h440) . My problem now is if it will  make any difference in temps  or air flow if i do this ?

Just put the fan higher up on one side.

Though if you reverse it, so long as the fans are all flowing in the right direction it shouldn't hurt performance

Yeah, moving the offending fan to the opposite side and running the cooler in a pull configuration will work just as well as the standard configuration. (or at least, not noticeably worse)

You can raise the fan, but I'd opt to run it in pull instead.

You could take off the ram heat spreaders

That's what I did with mine. Both fans exhaust out the back, and I have no issues with temperatures (4790K, 4.4GHz all cores, 1.2V).

Even with one fan it should perform very well.
