Low priced ones yes is terrible but the more expensive ones are actually good.

Some are good, some are bad, some break on day one, some are tanks

There quality is mediocre for the price you pay when there are better brands out there for the same cost

That said if you like their aesthetics and branding then fair enough, just make sure you check reviews

Not horrible but not great, especially for the prices they charge.

Opening up their mice for cleaning is next to impossible without stripping the cheap soft screws they use and wrecking the feet and other labels.

Everyone here knows of my Razer Naga Hex and why I hate it. That story is a story about the poor quality of Razer's products.

The only reason to get a Razer Product anymore is if it's on sale majorly.

My razer naga has been serving me very well for about two years now, my razer blackshark headset lasted me about two years as well with some pretty rough use before the cable finally bit the dust. My razer megalodons are serving me extremely well and i cant say a bad thing about them so far. As for their other products i cant speak first hand however i can say their blackwidow keyboards are amazing my friends swear by them over my logitech g710 (i like the logitech better but ehh) and the razer deathstalker is also a pretty wicked keyboard that ive used a few times at a friends place. All in all i have yet to encounter a bad product from them despite everyone always ragging on them for being "crap" products

My friends headset mic broke in 2 months and they refused to fix or replace it. Razer is known for their high prices and low quality, there are much better brands out there that are much cheaper, like Logitech, Steelseries and Corsair.

Just stay away from their keyboards and headsets. Everything else is good. But it is a gamble as a lot of their products have defects.

I've got my Razer Imperator from a boot sale for a tenner. Over a year on, still works perfectly. It's like a CPU, you get your good ones and your bad ones.

My first razer deathadder lasted 5 years.

My Razer mamba has lasted 2 years.

People with bad experiences are much louder than people with good experiences. Razer sells the most peripherals, so they will have the most complainers.

I have a 2019 macbook pro with 64gb of ram and my gaming pc has been in the closet since 2018

Razer is the 'Beats' of PC peripherals. They are over priced, poor QC and you can find a superior product by someone else, in their respective field. They have just saturated the market with advertising, and green LED's.

If you want comfortable headphones with a strong mic that doesn't break easy, Don't get the razer krakens.

From my personal experience, they are alright for the first month then the ear pads just go flat and your ear is rubbing against scratchy fabric and hard plastic.

And if you put your head set down face first, with out the mic fully in it will start to ware on the delicate pointy end. (not and issue if you hand it on your monitor or hanger).

probably the best thing about the headset is how flexible and durable it is (Minus mic).

I haven't had any issues with my carcharias headset or abyssus mouse.

But i've seen tons of people complain about razer products.

So i guess it's just the luck of the draw. You could get a bad one that's dead within 5 minutes. Or you could get a good one that'll last for years.

But you can say that about any manufacturer

Well that must come from personal experience. The Razer Deatadder for example has probably one of the best optical sensors i have ever seen and I have no complaints about it after 2 years.

I don't possess any Razer product, but I can speak for other people and friends and their mices.
My house-mate (another student like me) used to break a lot of mouse's scroll-wheels; then he got the Orochi (he doesn't play any game) and it works pretty well. His cousin used to have an Imperator and it still works (he plays Quake and now he use a Thermaltake mice, I don't know which one).

Another close friend of mine (who used to play BF, CoD, Titan Fall, Diablo and other older games) had an old Mamba which works since years, despite it's a bit consumed.

I used to think that Razer was the best gaming product brand, because of so many good experiences I heard about. Now, that I've read this discussion, I obviously thought twice about Razer quality, and I'll keep much more careful in the future before buying stuff. By the way, I'll not completely close this door, because I still know enough people who had good experiences.

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it
