CPU Cooler

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZareUYY_6k When installing this "backplate" for the cpu cooler (8:13) he puts that thing on the back of his motherboard. Do i have to take off all the motherboard from the case to replace the cooler? Only one side of my case can open.

If you don't have a cut behind the cpu socket then yes take out the motherboard but most cases have a cut around that zone so you can see behind the cpu socket.That thing is a back plate it will sustain the cooler.

ps:took a look at your case you can install it without taking the motherboard out

edit:just take off both side panels and install it.It will be easy since the back plate have a double side adhesive and it will just stick on the back of the motherboard so you can install it easier

You need to take off the other side panel if you want to install it without taking the mb out

When i open the other side of the panel there is nothing there just like a wall. There are some screws but i dont think they will open this "wall".

In the third picture you can see a cut in the middle of the panel you should have that too.I mean it looks like your case does

you'll have to take the board out, no biggie, once you've done it 10 times you can do it pretty quick

should of got a hyper 212 for that cpu but looking at googel images id say your cooler should be super easy to mount, maybe not even needing any messing around with backplates.

"My cooler" ? Its already in there. I bought this pc a bit used but  muuuuuuch cheaper. I am not very happy about the temps - far cry 3 , metro ll - 56*C.

Any tutorial how to do all of this? :|

The back plate is very thin.Yes the back plate is attached to the cpu cooler

He means the new cooler. Whats the old one, stock? Those are really easy to take off. Then you need to take CPU out from socket also since you will need to clean it and apply new thermal paste. Put CPU back in and follow install instructions of new cooler.

Those temps look pretty good, is your CPU OC'd?

Out of the socket ? You dont need to do that to clean it.
