I'd whip my ass with this news. It's WCCF

It's actually AppleInsider.com but whatever, people can't read for shit these days.

This new rumor comes directly from appleinsider.com which has been quite an accurate source of leaks in the past.

Until I hear something official from Nvidia, I don't believe any of these 800-series rumors. Don't we have like 1-2 every week now?

"3rd Generation 16nm Maxwell GTX 880 Ti Coming Sooner Than Expected."

Apple insider is talking about APPLE PRODUCTS.  The article doesn't even say anything about the gtx 880ti. This thread is just a load of bull.

It'll be probably be announced at IBC2014 if anything because it's just perfect for that.

lol it's fine, I'll leave the WCCF thing to you :P (even though WCCF says that the article was from Apple insider)

So they have reposted someone else's news, they are still click baiting, that's why I dislike the because they sensationalise and click bait the shit out of any hot topic.

we have to be close. NDA's got to be ending soon. surly.......I hope

14 days away for IBC2014 sounds about right. Sounds like great timing. however it could be a standalone event? I am trying to remember if any of the previous cards were standalone events....

But then again who knows..

It's not even about nVidia, it's about the TSMC and their 16nm process. The article talks about the new Apple chip. So it's basically this post http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/204587-apple-and-nvidia-to-get-16nm-finfet-chips-from-tsmc-next-year/

http://www.nvidia.ca/page/events.html why would they not schedule. nda should lift the weekend after. they'll probably announce to end the week on the friday the 12th and give details but NDA lift/release would probably be the 19th the friday after. reviews going up all weekend.

Sounds about right.

actually just going over the calander, IBC2014 is bfore some automotive events. I remember watching the titanZ announvment and NVidia harped on about putting chips into cars.  So they might be releasing some more hardware for that event at IBC2014 for the other events... or not.

My money is on IBC2014 now....but still a sneaky standalone event could happen small chance. In-house maybe.

But I could just be

well, not exactly. TSMC do make chips for nvidia if memory serves me right. They invented the 880ti coming sooner than expected thing up

I doubt it would be 16nm GPU's but more for their mobile chips. (k1, denver)

Not going to happen. nVidia even had to trash the 20nm chip. How on earth would they be able to spit out a 16nm chip?

WTF !? ! -_-!

So it's fine for Tomshardware.com to repost the same news item ?! even though WCCF reported on it a day earlier ?

It has turned to a fad to bash on wccf even when they post real news but whatever. People can't read for shit.

Apple and Nvidia go through the 16nm TSMC pipeline together, so if one is earlier than expected the other one will be too, just stands to reason. All you preemptive WCCF-bashers need to learn to develop your own sense of source criticism. It's a speculative "article", but the claim is still 95% likely to be true.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

It's not the same news item. Tomshardware isn't talking mainly about GPU's WCCF stretches things to get views.

No, "people can't read for shit" The title of this thread is completely misleading. The article is a mess in itself; it contradicts itself " The early manufacturing capacity could very well be completely swallowed by Apple wafer orders."

We want News sources we can trust. we can't trust WCCF and they've showed that again and again over the past few months/weeks.

No it doesn't

Next Gen GPUs Could Be Coming Sooner Than Expected

Next gen cards COULD come sooner because the 16nm process is 3 months ahead of schedule and next gen cards also MAY NOT be coming sooner because the early capacity might get hogged by Apple.

The author outlines both possibilities with transparency and even mentions a third possibility rather than pick one possibility, state it as fact and sensationalize the hell out of it like tomshardware.

Like I said, people can't read for shit.
