GTA V is now currently listed on Steam and will be available this fall! Let me know, will you be getting it or sticking to the console version? Why?

After the price drops, and only if there is no third party DRM bullshit like GFWL.

If GFWL then I will pirate it, if not then yes I'll most likely buy it retail (to activate on Steam) in order to get the inevitable 'map of the city' poster.

Sure, I'll be getting it.
But not at full price. GTA games aren't even that good when you think about it, the story is lackluster, it tries too hard to be like an action movie, the plot is pretty much the same every time... That coupled with Rockstar's inability to make a proper PC port that doesn't suck/isn't full of bug, doesn't help. The fact that GFWL erased my save file twice in GTA4 really didn't help my opinion on this matter, that Rockstar thought it was a good idea to put that junk in.. couple with their own DRM on top of that when you launch the game.. just no.

Had it on PS3 and it was pretty good but now I have no console so I need to get it in pc.

I will get it when its like 10 bucks. I dont play multiplayer on gta games so when it comes to single player action that can wait a long time since nothing changes other then bug fixes.

You got me all excited that it was actually up for pre-order :( im desperate to play, i have been stopping myself from playing it on PS3 so it can be fresh for me again when i do the single player campaign but its sooooooo hard to resist. I really hope we get the casino DLC at launch!

I'll buy it just for the sake of having it, but I wouldn't say i'm excited for it. I've seen my brother play it so much that I no longer care.

Maybe I'll wait it out until sales kick in and it'll get listed for $20 :P

The lack of story affects me much, as in a really really good story with the plot twists and stuff, it'll just be some kind of fantasy world simulator that should be priced as one.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great sim ;)

 

For me, Witcher 3 might be the only thing worth pre-ordering right now.

You can bark like a dog, but that won't make you a dog.

You can act like someone you're not, but that won't change who you are.

 

Finished Crysis without a discrete GPU,15 FPS average, and a lot of heart

 

How I plan my builds -

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."

I will buy it even pre-order maybe, I only bought 3 games in my life and this will be the last one :)
If they dont fu*k it up then I think the price tag is reasonable due to funny multiplayer ! Unlike Watchdogs (nothing to do really) and Battlefield series that cost same amount and are terrible :D

Im gonna wait for benchmarks and stuff for GTA 5 before i buy it .... i dont want another GTA 4 on my PC lol , if its a decent port then i will buy , if not ill keep playing it on xbox lol
