Haswell-E is just around the corner, and I know many of are planning to replace both CPU and GPU at the same time. For that reason I thought you might be interested in pricing of the new platform.

Intel i7 / X99 Haswell-E pricing:

Intel Core i7 5960X 8C/16HT – 40-lane PCI-Express support (x16 + x16 + x8) — $999
Intel Core i7 5930K 6C/12HT – 40-lane PCI-Express support (x16 + x16 + x8) — $583
Intel Core i7 5820K 6C/12HT — 28-lane PCI-Express support (x16 + x8 + x4) —– $389

Intel-HaswellE-E-VideoCardz_Com-Press-De

VC isn't the most trustworthy source out there but you can't fake slides like these, especially with the Haswell-E core data, without it coming back hard to bite you if photoshopped. I heavily believe these are legitimate. More info and slides in the source linked above.

Now here's the interesting part:

Let's have a better look at that Asus x99 Deluxe courtesy TV cop shows and their magic zoom and enhance:

You are welcome!

Edit: Another thread got merged in with this, don't blame me for that dumb poll at the top :P

Ya, and it looks like it actually will function properly instead of having dumb flashy looking heatsinks that don't perform well. This is definitely on my list of considerations now!

You forgot one pic;

750x1500px-LL-f3eecf75_Intel-HaswellE-E-

Die size is around 350mm², not bad for a chip with probably 12 cores and 4 laser cut. The 3930K (8 cores 2 lasercut) was 435mm²

The white kind of ruins the mobo IMO but just grab a can of plastidip and you've got the worlds best looking motherboard

Ya, I was going to post that here but figured it wasn't what this forum audience is really interested in.

Definitely going to be a minority view on this board I think. Monotone is VERY hard to pull off, even with plastidip.

The first thing that came to mind when I first saw that board was "holy shit, that mobo has a ton of USB 3 ports!" Anyway, it has to beone of the best looking Asus boards I have ever seen (others being the Maximus 7 formula and the Z97 AR.)

More like aluminum and plastic, and that has always been the case too.
