The Seasonic S12G is a better PSU in itself in respect to quality and performance; however, it is functionally inferior in respect to modularity and noise level.

Since you are from the Netherlands, isn't the price of the RM650 a bit expensive? For slightly more, you can get the 750w variant. http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/348557/corsair-rm750.html

The EVGA Supernova 750w G2 would be a better option in the same price range: http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/395443/evga-supernova-750-g2.html

To give some more variety, the Cooler Master V700 is a good option as well. It's a Seasonic KM3 design (without the fanless mode and has a FDB fan). http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/333107/cooler-master-v-series-v700.html

Anyways, what will you be powering? SLI/CFX? Budget?

I've decided to go with my old choice, the Seasonic S12II-620, and buy a better CPU cooler, i asked this question before with different PSU's and the Seasonic S12II-620 seemd to be the best.

Well, it isn't the "best", as it is still an entry level power supply and is inferior than to the rest of the unit mentioned thus far. For what it is, it is a solid unit though.

I'm assuming that you are powering only a single GPU, which I would recommend the Cooler Master V550S over the Seasonic S12II-620 if you are able to get it: http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/349131/cooler-master-v550-semi-modular.html

or the 550w variant of the S12G. http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/353354/seasonic-s12g-550w.html

But like I had said, the S12II 620w should be fine as well.

Thanks for the advice :) the V550S is not available in my preferred webstore though, so i'll be taking the Seasonic S12II-620, I mean, it's good enough, And it doesn't have to be perfect :)

Why. Why why why?

They do stupid unnecessary things that jacks up the price like putting the PSU in a velvet bag. And the writing on the PSU is different all on the PSU. if you put in one way some of it is right side up and some of it is upside-down and vice versa.

But they are wayyyyyy better than rm in terms of quality

I mean, you're obviously a corsair fanboy so i would expect you to choose corsair no matter what :P

2 things

See the edit button? Use it

Also final score doesn't matter as much as quality.

But, as I've seen before, is useless arguing with you, add you are a fanboy

As I stated before, the scoring of the PSU shouldn't be used as a reference point. An entry level power supply is capable of getting a 9+ star rating, while a high-end unit that is superior to it in every way may score lowered than it. I had discussed it at in this thread recently.

They do stupid unnecessary things that jacks up the price like putting the PSU in a velvet bag.

Well, considering how the AX760/860 is manufacturered by Seasonic and also comes with a velvet bag (which is provided to store your extra unused cables), does that mean you hate the AX series as well? I mean the Flextronics build AXi series has that bag as well. As well as the CWT and Seasonic build HX as well. Aren't you accusing / hating on Seasonic of doing things that Corsair are doing as well? If we were to talk about the RM series, why is a mainstream unit cost about the same as a higher-end unit? If it's the same price as some higher-end units, doesn't that mean Corsair is also senselessly jacking up the price?

The RMs are fine.

Yeah, the RM isn't build as well as the higher-end PSU, but it isn't so terribly build that one should raised the red flag to avoid as though as it was a fire hazard or something. It still an acceptable option to buy assuming it is price properly. But this what I don't get. By saying that the RM series is fine to his post, it shows that you are aware that there other PSUs are indeed better quality, or else you would have denied it. If that's the case, are you saying that using higher quality components as well as a tighter requirement that is needed to be met in respect to electrical performance and reliability that make the unit cost more is them doing "stupid, unnecessary things"?

Corsair had done something in the past that didn't exactly make sense either. For example, before the RM series came to be, with the exception of the AX series, all of their 650w unit had only 2 PEG connectors for the GPU, while other 650w units has four, allowing you the ability to SLI/CFX some cards. For example, the HX650v2 only has 2 PEG connectors, while the Seasonic G 650w unit has four. The XFX XTR 650w (fully modular with a FDB fan) also have four. All those three units are based on the same internal design and all of them are in the same price range (the Seasonic is cheaper by a few bucks, and the XFX is in the same price range as the HX). Didn't Corsair just removed two PEG connectors to save money, while selling it at the same price of the unit that it is based on?

Am I the only one who is really dubious of noise testing in reviews? I see such large variation between sites and methodologies. The distances from the noise source and the measuring hardware varies too much to be very useful.
