Non Dell monitor for gaming/ photo editing needed :)

GoldenLeaf

Hey guys, so I have read through a load of posts on this board, but have not come to a conclusion.

I need a monitor suitable for gaming (FPS such as TF2 and CS:GO) and also photo editing. Due to this I think an IPS is my best bet, and have been lead to the Dell UltraSharp U2414H. I am reluctant to buy from Dell however as I have had no good experiences with their products, they are cheap, but for a reason it seems... Hence the "non Dell" so other brand recommendations please.

Current set up:

Nvidia MSI 770 2GB GPU

Samsung T220

Need:

Non Dell

1080p (don't think I have enough power to run 1440p)

At least 24"

Good looks (bla bla I know, in the eye of the beholder... I just don't want it to look really bland and businessy)

Thin bezel

Height adjustment and swivel (in other words a decent stand)

BUDGET: £200-250 £300 if it is really nice :P

Thanks dudes!

Why do you have a bad experience with Dell?

Products I have had in the past by them, laptops etc of a poor quality. But I have not ever owned a monitor by them.

Asus PB238Q.

Seems good apart from it's looks. It is too bland and has a think bezel. Thanks for the suggestion :)

The Dell consumer line is really nothing compared to their enterprise stuff (incl. monitors). There is a reason why you see Dell in a lot of companies.

Do you own any Dell monitors yourself?

I have 3 P2214H monitors, they are just awesome, compared to the LG monitors I also have.
