Windows 8.1 desktop icons problem

Michael

Hello guys. I'm having a strange problem with my desktop. The icons keep on rearranging themselves from its previous location which I think the lowest resolution of my desktop, 1024x768 which is roughly a third of my 1080p screen(see screenshot below).

I've tried scanning for corrupted files using sfc scannow command with no avail. Is there any solution other than creating new account?

Thanks! :)

If I were you, I'd just have the programs I use the most on my task bar and the rest on the start screen to clean up that mass and clutter. Or put them in a folder somewhere easily accessible.

I had that problem for a while, and I let my computer run for a couple days without restarting it. After that, the icons were fine.

@Th3 Mans1ay3r

@tmcclelland455

I've already done that when I'm recovering something on hdd(which took almost 3 days) but it didnt fix the problem.

@ZetZet

No. I run all my games at 1080p.

@TheGamingBarrel
