The R9 270X of Geforce GTX

What Geforce GTX GPU would have around the same specs and performance as the R9 270X?

760 ?

I'd agree with that. 750 Ti is slower, 770 is a bit too fast, especially for the price.

The 760, but it's in a fairly higher price range (it is faster though). At that point however you might as well pick up an r9 280, I hear it's a bit faster and a bit cheaper than the 760.

@princedudezilla please remember to follow your topics ;)

I'll remember next time :) I haven't received this many replies within a short amount of time lol

Anyways, thanks for the advice.

I'm looking towards Nvidia GPUs because of their energy efficient cards

Then you might want to get a 750ti instead, it only draws about 60 watts of power and can be powered entirely off of the pcie slot :) it's a bit slower than the 270x but not by too much. The 760 doesn't really draw any less power than a 270x from what I recall (it's basically an overclocked 670 so I wouldn't count on it being too power efficient).

@Sauron

If I were to go with the 280, would the Enermax ETL650AWT-M PSU suit it (entire build = 409 watts/PSU = 650 watts).

I'm trying to hit the sweet '80% efficient' spot and with a 650 watt PSU i'll have enough watts for any upgrades along the way.

Any thoughts?

the "sweet spot" varies from psu to psu, either way it should be pretty efficient, according to the manufacturer you should be above 80% efficiency from 20 to 100% load. Of course a 280 draws a lot more power than a 750ti.

660Ti would be the most comparable, but 660 or 760 are both slightly below and slightly above a 270x, respectively.

R9 3900XT | Tomahawk B550 | Ventus OC RTX 3090 | Photon 1050W | 32GB DDR4 | TUF GT501 Case | Vizio 4K 50'' HDR

There is no Nvidia gpu which will give u the same performance as the r9 270x
Bt the the gtx 660 with a lesser price tag and slightly lower performance.

Or the gtx 760 with a higher price tag and slightly higher performance.

Are the 2 nVidia gpu's which will give u the closest performance compared to the r9 270x.
Thought, i would recommend u buying the gtx 760 over the gtx 660.
