Budget 1440p display for gaming

The-youri
Go to solution Solved by GloriousPain,

1 .you have a ips screen and an other screen ( i can't remember the other screens name )

2 .what is better for gaming  ( screen like ips ? )

3 .what display do you guys recommend me for 1440p gaming and good contrast and budget max 800 euro's

4 .i have a r9 290 reference from asus and a i7 860 and 8 gigs of ram is it good enough for 4k ?

5 .i would like the biggest size of screen with the budget of 800 euro's

1. TN(is the most common but there are others such as PLS which is just an enhanced IPS, and VA which is newer technology all together)

2. TN is the fastest it's how you get 144Hz and sub 5 millisecond response times... IPS trades these for better aesthetics.

3. @1440p I suggest IPS 60Hz cause most graphics cards can't push too much past that constantly so if your stuck @60Hz might aswell enjoy it with IPS

4. Won't be buttersmooth but yeah all though don't expect ultra and just don't even think of Anti Aliasing, and consider Watercooling whether it be a Custom Loop or a Kraken G10 Adapter and an AIO

5. Sorry I'm too tired just look @The options and if you want 4k and can't afford it I'd recommend 2560*1600 the extra vertical pixels will be nice when available and when not oh well it's not like 21:9 with GIANT black bars.

Edit I forgot to note: Radeon cards have 10bit color output so if you have two similar IPS displays and one had 10bit color grab it xD on TNs I don't think you'll see 10bit D:

1) TN

2) IPS has better colors and view angles, but TN is cheaper and has faster response time, so TN it is.

4) Not on the max settings and not 60+ fps.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

PB278QR the refreshed model of the previous popular PB278Q. <- pls monitor.

The PG278Q might be in your price range but you lose out because amd radeon series graphics cards aren't optimized for g-sync let alone the 1.2a DP isn't out yet (I think)

You could go down the route of buying a monitor from korea however I would strictly go against it due to the poor build quality.

Any sort of lag would be more likely to happen on an IPS

No point in complaining when you're trying to buy a niche product.
