290x Reference (don't eat me alive) non water cooled back plate

Hey guys!

Long term lurker etc..... You know the spiel.

I'm wondering, I have a reference 290x (it was a steal so don't blame me) and I love the look of a back plate on a card I'm wondering if there are any back plates that you can install onto a card if it isn't water cooled? Not to keen on setting up a watercooling system on my main rig until I have tried it on the "lab rat".

Any advice would be great.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you could just install he standard WC backplate on them. I dont know if the stock cooler would interfere in anyway.

According to that list it's all reference boards but can you put one on if there isn't a water block attached on the other side?

yes but you need  longer screws
