Kingston hyperx clouds!?

So ive heard all sorts of things about these headphones and im actually considering getting them as a replacement for my razer kacken pros which i need to fix or replace.

So for 75$ cad are they a good deal.

How are they for virtual surround, i play cs go and other fps so this is important to me.

Ps if i abandon thread i likely fell asleep

The only real way to get better is to go  for dedicated headphones and a mic

 

For virtual surround you can just use the razer surround program, it works with any headset, that said good headphones should give you decent spatial awareness without surround gimmicks

well the clods are headphones with a removable mic, so there's that.

I have razer surround from my krakens so i will tinker but do they have any on there own or is there even drivers

forgot to ask, what do you suggest for a mic and headphone combo then for 80$ cad

At this price it's the best headset available, and there's usually discounts, but even without a discount it's a great headset at a great price.

Best headset tilaround $200 mark IMO best competition would be some combo of $150ish Sennheisers (or the like) w/ a ModMic

I believe the Cloud is the BEST headset for $80, you won't be able to get a good Headphone + Mic combo at this price point. So I'd say you should go with these. I've also purchased these recently, and I'm satisfied with them.

I've tried BF4 and BF3 with them, and considering they're a closed back headphone, they have a rather impressive sound stage. I'd personally say that they are similar to the HD518s in terms of sound stage, maybe even the 558's. I'm going to do some further testing with Razer Surround right now, I'll inform you with the results.

ok, i mainly play cs go if ypu want to test in that, and razer surround is good i use it for other head phones

I think the imaging on the HyperX is adequate, better than other headsets I've tried and own in this price range, but the 558s are noticeably better. I definitely do NOT classify myself as an "Audiophile" and don't have the best ears, so take this with a grain of salt.

nope none. Though the gamescom commander has a real good mic and good build quality.

ok, i mainly play cs go if ypu want to test in that, and razer surround is good i use it for other head phones

Theres no need for razer surround, just use the headphone setting in games and make sure you configure your spreakers in windows to be full range.

The "leather" ones that come one it. They shouldnt even include the cloth ones and some some money as they are all scratchy since im used microfiber pads.

I second this, the Microfibre pads they come with are low quality and the Synthetic leather is Much nicer. Although I personally dislike Isolation, so people like myself may prefer to use it anyway.

I wouldnt even consider them "micro fiber" at least compared to other microfiber earcups on my headsets and headphones and even the microfiber cloths I have. I would probably just call it cloth.

For being closed I dont think they isolate all all that well compared to other closed headsets and headphones I have. This may have something to so with their minimal clamping force but idk.
