I have that mobile GPU on my MSi Ghost laptop, it's pretty damn decent for 1080p gaming. Nothing like a desktop grade GPU, but it's to be expected out of a mobile card at that price.

Can you play most Triple A games (Far cry 3, Battlefield 4, MLL, ect.) at medium settings 1080p near 60 fps?

I don't know about most of those games, but for Battlefield 4, my 850m (worse than 860m) can play it at 50-60 fps on medium

It *IS* the 750Ti in a mobile form. They're both maxwell.

ASSUMING you're talking about the 2GB 860M. The 4GB is kepler, and is an entirely different beast.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

THE INFORMATION GUIDES: SLI INFORMATION || vRAM INFORMATION || MOBILE i7 CPU INFORMATION || Maybe more someday

I've tested BF 4, MLL, and Crysis. BF 4 I can run at high settings with a average of 60fps 1080p. MLL all settings set to medium for 60+ fps with PhysX enabled. Crysis no AA and everything set to high for a average 60fps, my laptops screen resolution is 1080p. It's pretty impressive. Currently it's running CAD programs really well too.

That's actually far better than I expected... I was expecting low settings 60, or medium 40... Maybe I will pick up one!

which model of laptop are you looking at?

if the price difference between the 870M is not big

do pick that over the 860M

I am looking at the Lenovo y50, and it costs more than $250 more to get a laptop with an 870m, and since it's mostly for VERY light work with the Adobe CS6 for a computers class suite, note taking at high school, and maybe playing a game during a road trip the price really isn't justifiable.
