Gtx 770 max. resolution

biam4

Hi Everyone,

I'm building a new computer, and I want to do a triple screen setup. I have a Gtx 770 4gb, but the Nvidia site says that the maximum resolution is 4096x2160. That resolution does not reach high enough for a triple screen hd setup, but still I see many people run triple screen setups on the gtx 770, so now i'm a bit confused:P

Thanks!!

Bart

That is the maximum res on one monitor. You can run your triple 1080p monitors.

Compatible with Windows 95

Maximum resolution of a single monitor. You can still run triple screen 1080p through the multiple outputs of the card.

I ran 2 1920x1200 monitors on a single 770. I have since moved to 3 1920x1200 and 3 way sli 770's and they run great. Games look awesome and it keeps up nicely with the refresh rate of the monitor. Doesn't tear or anything.

All I can advise is I wouldn't run more than 2 1080p monitors especially if you plan on gaming, defiantly tears and doesn't get good fps.

Nice, i thought it was for 1 monitor but didn't know it 100%

But thanks for the fast responses!

And isn't two monitors annoying for gaming, with the gap in the middle?

not really if you get thin bezel, I love multiple monitors. Makes the games that much better in my opinion.  But one 770 you can run anything even 4k just don't expect anything higher than 20-30 fps at 4k lol

You don't usually "game" on two screens. You game on 1 screen and keep the second separate for other information or whatever you may want. Three screens though is what people usually do for gaming; it's rare to see someone do a two-screen gaming config xD.

Also, I think eventually you get used to the bezels, but I can't be sure. I don't have a the screens nor the connection gear to run a triple monitor setup right now, so I wouldn't be able to check. I'd love to try it one day though; 3D vision surround gaming hnngggg

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Having 2 screens is largely pointless when gaming. You can leave something open but if you click on it you'll obviously minimise your game. (Unless you use windowed mode but that's so immersion-breaking)

3 screen gaming is great for racing games in my experience but terrible for everything else.
