Gtx 760 asus vs gigabyte

Diffakoc

Pls help me as topic says which and why?

Depends on your preference both coolers are pretty astounding however the DCU2 from asus is a little undercut. I think if my case allowed me to install a 12"+ graphics card go down that route however I like smaller graphics card for compatibility.

Asus for the support. honestly though, EVGA would be best over both.

None of these, get a 3GB R9 280 as it performs better and cost less.

I personally own the MSI version and whilst I know it wasn't in the original post, it is a great performing card and OC's well (can be luck of the draw I know). I did a lot of research before settling on a 760 and from what I could tell the MSI version was widely popular as well as ran the coolest.

Just my thoughts!

I'd take Gigabyte over Asus myself, but nothing is wrong with either card.

The guy who said get an r9 280 is right though, it's a better card for the same money. If you're open to AMD cards it is worth taking a look at least.

MSI, Sapphire, ASUS, Gigabyte...any of those have great cooling solution and are very quiet cards...as long as it's not a reference design cooler you'll be happy with it.

asus, if you want it to last for quite a long time without having noisy fans over time and having better temps over time, but the gigabyte is cheaper and is not bad at all - has also a good support, but the gpu it self maybe not as durable as the asus gpu.

If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself.

the GPU's are manufactured by nvidia themselves and then sent to board partners such as asus and gigabyte and they are all the same...your idea of things are very biaised to say the least!

Baised? I don't think so. I own a pair of Gigabyte 600 OC's, nothing I wouldn't know of when it comes to their gpu's. And by gpu I meant the actual graphicscard and not the graphic processing unit, sorry. The design of the cooler, or quality of pcb like e.g. voltage capacitors etc. surely is different in quality between asus and gigabyte. deal with it.

If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself.

@Diffakoc I have the ASUS 760, and I'm perfectly happy with it. That said, my main issue with the Gigabyte offering was that the rev1.0 board had a blue PCB, which isn't an issue now.

Somebody recommending a GPU from the brand they didn't buy into!  :o

But yeah, the pricing on the 280 is so outrageous right now you really need to take it into consideration, regardless of usual Nvidia fanboyism.

Somewhat, The GPU chips are the same no matter what manufacturer you choose, but The PCB design is up to the manufacturer. A reference board may use compatible components from different manufacturers, and the "premium" cards like ASUS' DirectCUII for example use their own completely custom board design.

So overall, there's plenty of room for one manufacture to have a more reliable GPU than another.
