Cpu throttle? I could force an ssd to happend but with the current budget i may have to take some loan in oder that to happend could you recommend an good ssd drive for me to buy ?

Do you think you could afford an SSD soon?

What I'd suggest (and what Linus suggests a lot) is getting the SSD (MX100, 256GB, $110) first, then waiting a bit and getting the HDD later when you have the cash, or vice versa. But if you get a HDD first you'll have to reinstall windows.

Then after that when you have more cash you can throw on a proper cooler.

These problems (Lack of an SSD and CPU cooler) while still problems, aren't worth getting a loan for.

Hey guys so im just got foot into college and want to build an PC for my own here is my build http://pcpartpicker.com/user/daovtoan/saved/qgbCmG yes im planning for ultra everything may go for sly 780 in the future but my main concerne is the MSI board thought i have running into some issue with theme in the past.

Thats a very, very nice build! :)

But like what @Shroomster said an SSD would be nice, maybe a Samsung 840 EVO 120gb ssd for around $80.

Main PC: Core i5 4670 | MSI Mpower Max z87 | G.Skill Ripjaws 2x4gb | Stock intel cooler | PNY GTX 770 2gb (hoping to upgrade) | Seagate 1tb 7200rpm | Corsair RM850 | Corsair Carbide Air 540 | PCCG custom sleeved black/yellow extensions | Corsair K70 Cherry MX Blue | Corsair M45 |

Phone: LG Nexus 5 | Headphones: Audio Technica ATH-PDG1, Shure SRH440 | Laptop: Asus 303la (i5 model, 1600x900 res) | Motorbikes: 2004 Sherco 290i, 2013 Husqvarna CR125 | Xbox one

Reasons to choose Nvidia:

Lower heat output

Features such as G-Sync, Shadowplay, Gamestream, etc

That's what he's talking about

Reasons to choose AMD

Lower cost

Features such as freesync(potentially)

I'm not too familiar with AMD, but I'm sure there are other features out there.

What's your budget?

I think I might be able to tweak this a bit...

Are you going to OC?

Great build, everything matches, but I think you may have overlooked an SSD, a CPU cooler (especially if you're going to OC) and an OS.

The SSD will greatly decrease your boot times and load times (especially if you're going to load large programs) and the CPU cooler will keep your CPU cool (no shit), which will extend the life of your parts by a significant portion, especially if you're going to OC or load it playing games/compiling programs.

Personally I feel that a 290 and a good cooler (the dark rock pro 3 looks baller IMO) would be a better choice than a 780 and a stock cooler (with a build of this caliber)

An OS is usually around $100 so take that into account when budgeting! Unless you're planning to use Linux (which is, too a great OS)

I just feel that you're cutting some corners with this build :( It'll be okay, but might not perform as well as you'd like.

You'd be beastly in games but they'll take a long time to load, and your CPU might throttle especially with intense workloads.

Also the OS! It;s nearly $100 so its a significant part of your budget. If you have a key lying around (you can extract it from a HDD with windows installed in it) you could save some cash.

These problems (Lack of an SSD and CPU cooler) while still problems, aren't worth getting a loan for.
