Good 450Watt PSU?

RelentlessAF

Hey guys, my Dad's PSU is the devil, it's non-modular and a pain in the ass to use in his build the CPU 8-pin has to stretch over the top of his 750ti just to plug in. It was made by Diablotec and was designed for to only be used with the case he had previously. I'm planning on upgrading his case to the H440 so I figure now would also be a good time to snag a modular power supply with longer cables.

My budget is around $70 USD and it should be about 450Watt. He just has a G3258 and a 750ti.

So what are some of your recommendations? I'll try to post a pic of the cables just so you can have a good laugh.

Yep^, Rosewill Capstone-450 and Capstone-450-M, Seasonic G 450W or XFX XTR 450W, Antec HCG-400 perhaps, RM450. Or simply a Corsair CX430M or CS450M.

I have that one in my personal build it's good but unnecessary for his PC so I don't really want to pay for voltage he won't need.

You will only be paying for what you use...

His PC uses a little less than 300W so a 600W would be a bit overkill imo.

But why get a low wattage one in the same price bracket?http://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-hive550

Well the CX600M you showed was $70 while the other suggestions were about $50 but this one here seems like a viable alternative.

it is also semi modular so itll be a breeze with cable management :)

Your system will run fine off of the Seasonic G 360w.

That said, the Pentium overclocks like a motherfucker so I'm not sure how happy the system would be with the G360.

53W TDP, lower than I expected. It would probably still be fine.
