Frownwarrior

Hey guys,

Like the title says i want to stream my games between my two PCs. I have my main rig with an gtx 780 and old Pc with a core to quad (3,0ghz). So i want to use my old system in my movie room to hook it up at my beamer. So I could not find out of Nvidias Gamestream only works with shield (I have one) and a pc or if it also works between 2 PC if it does I buy a 750 ti as an upgrade.

so does anyboady know if i can stream my games between them?

I'm pretty sure Gamestream is only to Shield, what you want is what Steam OS promises to do (hopefully)

2 computers signed into the same steam account will do it. Make sure you have a good router

Login to the same steam account on both pcs on the same network (wired connection works best). Then go to the client you want to play the game on and it will have a copy of your library and will ask you if you want to stream instead of play. You can even add non-steam games and play that way.

Nope no special hardware. Just turn on your gaming pc and open steam. It will launch it on your gaming pc remotely from your media PC. However, you can't use your gaming pc while it's streaming to the media pc as it will be like you're gaming over there.

It's mostly dependent on the CPU to decode the video stream. But, a Core 2 Quad should work okay. You can always just try it an see what works
