ASUS GPU Tweak freeze

Hi guys,

 

I have a problem,

When I open ASUS GPU Tweak my PC sometimes just completely freezes and I need to use the Power button on my PC (always makes me sad to use these things). It doesn't always occur, most of the times it works.

Also after I closed the program there is still a process called 3d_enable_G open when I check task manager, which uses around 13% of my CPU. If anyone knows how to solve this (the freeze most importantly) I'd be happy!

I'd just nuke it and use afterburner.

That was my idea as well, but I just thought a program by Asus would work on Asus cards ;)

Still want to know why it crashes my PC though.

Oh, ASUS GPU Tweak looks REALLY similar to Afterburner, like almost identical except for their own style.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

yeah it was causing issues with me too, so i switched to MSI afterburner.

That being said, MSI afterburner isnt perfect either.

Hi! I am a bit late, but I figured something out. When GPU tweak is freezing, monitor is still running. It looks like it is the issue. You can manually terminate monitor in your task manager then restart GPU tweak. Works fine for me.

Even though it's a late answer thanks! I'll try it today and since I use GPU-Z for monitoring anyway I guess I can disable the monitor completely.
