Any Mod Idea For My Prodigy M PSU Length Issue?

Hi, everyone. New to this awesome forum. Better late than never.

I have a major problem. I ordered a BitFenix Prodigy M case, as I was tired of having monster buses around. But I've done a terribly wrong move by not checking the max PSU length that could give me enough room to install a 280mm GPU (GTX 780 OC). And guess what? My PSU is 180mm long... I know I won't have a minimal gap to even connect the cables. I hate the perspective of having to buy another case, because I really liked the Prodigy M, and here where I live (5,000 miles beyond the edge of the third world), I won't find a single person who even knows what is a small form factor, what to say about being able to sell or trade the case.

Is there a merciful soul among you pros who is willing to gently lend me a hand, suggesting a mod solution, even if it's a radical one?

Thanks in advance, and have a really good one.

Peace.

Maybe try cutting out the bottom drive cage and make a larger opening for cables behind the PSU? I am not familiar with this case at all so I don't know if this would really work or fix your problem, but it is a suggestion. You could always return your PSU for a shorter one.

Woops thought you had the mini ITX version.

I should be studying.

Hey, thanks for the really fast reply. This case has a unique design. My bad not having attached a pic or a link. Take a look:  http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/chassis/prodigy-m

PSU sits upright at the front section of the case. If it's too long, and so GPU, they will literally collide.

Returning stuff here where I live is a painfull task, you know? You'll never get a refund, Here is not USA or UK. They don't believe you, the costumer is always wrong. The maximum you can have is a replacement of a factory-broken product. Money back? Fat chance.

I envy you all.

Thanks again
