280s seen for $199 are a sweet deal but for me I'd still want Nvidia for PhysX.  OP if you don't care about PhysX then maybe AMD is for you as their cards keep crashing in price.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

personally i tend to stick to nvidia, i love that physx in my borderlands which i play a literal ton of :3 and batman.. its cool in batman to lol anyway yeah 770 hands down. if you need more power a second 770 isnt a bad option once 800 launches and theyre prices plummet. I have a buddy that runs my old 680's in sli and it just powers through everything :) he has yet to have issues

The R9 290 seems like a better price:performance, but Nvidia cards run cooler :)
The 800 series for Nvidia isn't too far off, and prices will drop quickly when they do, so it might be worth waiting if you have the time.

$400 what? Hong Kong dollars? Pesos? What country, mate? Prices differ from country to country.

Right, because the '$' doesn't mean Chilean peso, Australian dollar, Jamaican dollar, Colombian peso, Canadian dollar, Suriname Dollar, Namibia dollar, New Zeland dollar, Mexican peso....?
