Mining with tesla

I know nvidia isnt that good at mining with their regular gpus but how well would a k40x tesla mine and if that doesnt mine well what about amd's new firepro s9150 will that beat amd's regular gpus at mining?

Can supercomputers mine? Shouldn't people be doing that instead of calculations? Fuck science I want money.

 

Well if they had the money to BUILD a super computer, I guess they don't really need the money.

 

It has already been done

 

Edit: Supercomputers generate a bigger electric bill than bitcoins so yeah, don't hijack a supercomputer.

None of the consumer graphics cards will make you any profit. They mine too slowly and use too much power. You need to buy an ASIC if you want to make money from mining.

Tesla is just as bad at mining as GeForce. However the FirePro's were designed to be better at raw compute performance, and will smoke the Radeon's in terms of mining. The price difference going from Radeon to FirePro however is something to be noted when trying to make profit.

 

But if you're trying to make profit nowadays its ASIC or bust. That's why the price of Radeon cards aren't so high anymore

well apparently super computers are surprisingly bad for bitcoin mining so that runs out the 4th option but i wonder about ibm's new microchip that simulates the human brain and consumes very little energy

FirePro's dont get much better PPD than normal AMD GPU's, and since they are 2x-3x the price id stay away from them

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

I'm not a fan of the bitcoin system in the first place, so I would go with option #5.
