Titan Black SLI, X79 MATX Cube workstation "The Scandinavian Cube"

Specs:

i7-4930k

16gb Team vulcan 2400mhz ddr3

512gb Crucial M4 SSD - 240gb intel ssd - Crucial M4 256gb ssd

2x 4TB WD Black

Asus ROG Rampage IV Gene X79

2x GTX Titan Blacks

a bunch of noctuas

If I could I'd use an X79 board that isnt the overplayed Red/black combo  but unfortunately there isnt an matx x79 board that would work other than this one.

I feel like the whole ROG look sort of spoils the Stiff upper lip type of design I was shooting for.

My first thought was "no watercooling? Meh." Then I realized how beastly your system is even without it.

Thanks, I used to be very into the whole water-cooling scene (4x gtx480 SLI under water at one point)         But I do so much with my pc and upgrade it usually more than once a year so water-cooling became a big hassle for me I've started to realize that air-cooled systems can look just as pretty.  I've got a large Phanteks 140mm CPU cooler and I'd rather be using that than the radiator but the 6 core i7 was a bit much for that cooler too handle. The CLC on the CPU does make the MB more visible which works out well I think :)

the upgrade from the 780's to titan blacks for two monitors seems like a bit of a waste

Not really in my case, this is not only my gaming rig but it is also my personal workstation. The Titan Blacks offer a tangible benefit over the GTX780s  in those tasks and still perform very well in games so its a perfect solution in my opinion. But for a normal Gaming rig I would agree that the Titan makes little sense.  As far as monitors go Im just waiting for the perfect pro-level 4k ips display to come out,  and Im already running @ 1440p  I think 3x1440p would probably warrant a Titan Z SLI upgrade for me.  I also tend to like the simpler 2 display set up Ive never been too interested in Surround gaming.

What is that racewheel? Do you have pedals? I've been looking to get into race sims and saw your build and noticed the wheel. Awesome settup btw. :)

Very nice. Good you managed to get a gap in the GPUs too.

Very similar spec to my rig really. Thought about doing a pocket rocket too :)
