Does anyone care for iRacing?

XzzDSA

Heyo o/

The last couple of months I've gotten absolutely HOOKED on simracing.. I've got myself a t500RS wheel and pedal set and started playing Assetto Corsa with some guys over at RaceDepartment.

Since AC is still very much an early access game, I looked towards iRacing for online racing.. And I've never had so many good races with such short intervals between them!
For my future progression in iRacing, and just in general to have some fellow racers to race with, I'd Love to join a club, and I wondered if anyone here on LTT has got the same enthusiasm and maybe even some proper experience who I can hook onto?

Either way I'll be posting on iRacings forums aswell, but I'd just like to know if there's anyone of you out there :)

Regards

Last time I checked it was not free to play, do you still have to have a subscription to race online?

It does - it is proberly the most expensive game I've ever tried - but if you are interrested in simracing - you'll proberly end up paying anyways. (like me).

I'm interested, but not that much to pay a monthly fee for a game. I'd rather spend them on a real car...

Lol well - It's money well spent in my humble oppinion, but it's certainly something to think about!

I can only say as much as I've raced much more, better and faster with iRacing...

If I actually had more time and if it wasn't so darn expensive I'd start with iRacing right away. But for now I'm sticking with Assetto Corsa and when it's released, Project Cars. :)

It is hard to justify the cost unless you like to race at least 3 hours a day more than twice a week. Once you do get in to it you will like to play it as much as you can, especially once you go up licenses and can compete in the faster cars.

You can always try the promotion they have where you get 3 months of iRacing for the price of one, it's a good deal to see if you really do want to go for it. It's what I did before I got my one year subscription.

If you're kind of in the middle of deciding I think it's worth getting the 3 month for the price of 1 subscription just to test it out. It did get me using my wheel a lot more than before.
