I want to make my own Altcoin.

Hello,

Before you all say 'NONONO WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER ALTCOIN' I'm not planning to use it to 'get rich' or 'become the next dogecoin'.

I just want to have a currency for my friends and I to use. For instance, "I'll give you 10 CCap Coins if you beat me in a race" or "If you outscore me in the next game of CS, then I'll give you 500 CCap Coin"

I'd like it to have its own wallet API. My friends and I have been tossing around a pool of 10000 nutcoin for a while, and instead of using another coin, I'd like to have my own.

If anyone is able to help me with this, then awesome. If nobody knows, then I guess I can try a few subreddits.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe use coincreator.net? However, it's not free.

It basically is. Well, mining is dead, but the business is still ok, it's just the value of the bitcoins have reduced DRASTICALLY.

https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin

Fork the code, and you got yourself a new coin. It's free, open-source, and readily available for anyone and everyone to make their own altcoins.

If you're just keeping it between friends, you will have to mine it. If you don't mine your coin constantly transactions cannot happen as there wont be a network.

Another option, why not try coloured coins? You can take a small fraction of a bitcoin and have it represent it's own asset class https://www.coinprism.com/

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

Ask me about Bitcoin, Litecoin, Crypto-Currencies, and/or Mining them.
