Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Experience? Build Reccomendations? DVRs?

Hi everyone.  New to the forum but I certainly have enjoyed browsing through the topics.  I recently cut the cord on my DirecTV and am looking for a solution for recording OTA TV.  With my 1 year old son rampaging through our house my wife and I don't have time for commericals but still enjoy watching NFL and some network shows.  We are looking for a DVR solution and I came accross the WinTV-HVR-2250 from Hauppauge.  A few questions for the community:

 

*  Does anyone on here have experience with using that card for capturing?

*  Does anyone have reccomendations on computer rigs that work well for using that card for caputring dual streams of 1080i content as well as driving out to an HDTV?  I am researching parts for building my first PC and not exactly sure how to ensure smooth vidoe performance with cost trade-off.  I am looking at the AMD Athlons, AMD APUs, and Intel I3.  As the box will be in my living room I am also interested in a quiet system without jumping off the water cooling clif.  If anyone has any part list reccomendations I am eager to learn from the experiences user's on here.  I am not too interested in building with gaming in mind rather just driving my TV, caputring OTA TV, and basic light computing etc

* Any user's have other DVR reccomendations for those of us that hate watching commericals etc.
