4K TVs with displayport and 60Hz

Zarian

Hello All,

I was wondering are there any TVs in the works (larger than 40 inches) that will have displayport connections and support 4K @ 60Hz?

I currently have my gaming computer connected to my 1080p HDTV and would love to upgrade to 4K, but I want a larger screensize. (And I understand that I will need to ensure my videocard has more then 3GB of ram, currently have a GTX 780 with 3GB, will upgrade the card when I get the TV)

Thank you.

Oh didn't know there was any 4K TVs with Displayport and I think they have HDMI 2.0 too(HDMI 2.0 doesn't matter for PCs yet, though).

Displayport is very rare on TVs. Most newer TVs with HDMI 2.0 inputs support 4k @ 60Hz. Unfortunately, the current crop of GPUs only have HDMI 1.4 outputs. Your Nvidia GPU supports 4k @ 60Hz over HDMI 1.4 with Chroma subsampling.

That being said, do look at input lag numbers before buying a 4K TV for gaming. They generally have worse input lag due to extensive image processing.

Good point, unfortunately these don't have response time listed. (dang)

Well, if anything I can always just wait and save up the $$$
