Temps Mining vs Folding?

I find for some reason my temps when mining are a lot higher than when folding. Is this normal or is my GPU's processing power not being used very effectively (it shows 99% utilization in GPU-Z though)?

I have an EVGA 760 SC w/ ACX cooling and my temps when mining are around 80 but when folding the highest I've seen it go is 65.

Could someone explain why this is the case? Any explanations would be greatly appreciated :)

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

Mining is far more intense and will push your GPU temps harder than folding. Not an explanation, just assuring you that your set up is fine and it's normal.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.

Ask me about Bitcoin, Litecoin, Crypto-Currencies, and/or Mining them.

Mining is designed to push your GPU to the max

Folding is meant for research, so that's not the aim, and therefore it runs cooler.

Some Folding projects will also use less CPU/GPU resources then others, so this may also be the case...
