Build Title: Saber: A 2011 Build
Thread URL: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/11759-saber-a-2011-build/?hl=saber
Description:  To this day, Saber runs on the reliable Core i7 2600K CPU under that MASSIVE V10!  The PSU has been downgraded from 1200W to 1000W when these pictures were taken because Cooler Master couldn't replace a simple fan under warranty in an otherwise healthy unit.... but, I'll save that rant for another day.  Future upgrades include an SSD for the main OS when 1TB SSD's are within reasonable price range...  almost there as of August 2014, but not quite.  Other than the PSU switch, Saber is still the same as in this picture.

Build Title: Model 01
Thread URL: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/49076-model-01-a-scratch-built-chassis-finally-done/

Description: A scratch built chassis designed and built by me. Built in 3 mm aluminium sheets. The basic goal was to design a very quiet high-performing system with a minimalistic and clean design. And that meant water cooling. Since no chassis really had what I wanted I went "full retard" and started this project. It started back in 2008 and laid idle from time to time (with most work being done 2012-2013) but in February 2014 it was finally completed! Weighs about 15kg w/o HW and >35kg with all the HW. Basically, its a tank and a PITA to move. Well over a 1000 hours have gone into planing, learning programs, building, modding, documenting, taking photos etc. If I knew back then how much time and effort I would have to put down I would never have started. Many ups and downs, and I nearly gave up several times. But in the end it was ALL worth it! :)

Cheers and GL to everyone!

Build Title: The Vector

Thread URL: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/196364-the-vector/

Description:

I'm Adam, and I'm 14 :D

This is my brand new AWESOME gaming PC that I built a few weeks ago. The build went without a hitch and I'm loving this thing so far. My PCPartPicker has all the parts I used and prices and stuffs:

http://pcpartpicker.com/b/xv6XsY

Future Upgrades:

I want to do some future upgrades, like throwing in an NZXT Kraken G10 to water cool my GPU and a 240mm rad for my CPU. Will also be upgrading 2 or so years from now to a newer Intel i7 chip and hopefully a GTX 980 (when that comes out)

Also will be hackintoshing when Yosemite comes out later this year.

Conclusion:

I love my new PC and can't wait to get started playing all those games I've really been wanting to play. I think it's really good for my first build and am excited to join the PC Master Race with this thing.

Description: This is a 3D printed case designed for an Intel NUC, the PC itself is used as my media streamer for the living room tv.  The whole framework was 3D printed using SLS nylon.  The centre piece is made from burl vavona wood that has been French polished.  It was so much fun to make as I'm not used to working at this scale (the NUC is tiny!),

Seeing how this is a build log submission thread and not a build submission thread, I would think it is required.

Yes, there should be a build log for your machine. The point of

these contests (well, one of the points at least) is to create

traffic to the build logs themselves, get more people to see

them, reward members who take the time and effort to contribute

to the community with some exposure for their work. Because in

the end, a forum consists of its members' contributions, and

part of the idea of these contests is to reward those who have

contributed something especially worthwile, if that makes sense.

But there isn't really anything in the rules that the build log

needs to be posted concurrently with the actual building itself,

you can still put a build log together after the fact, so to

speak (if you bothered to take pictures during the building).

Since this iteration of the contest is a bit of a special case

and has some relaxed rules, I'd say it would be acceptable if

you made a thread with some good images of your machine and

then linked to that thread (I presume you don't have any pics

of the in-progress building, but if you do, even better :)).

Okay thank you for the reply. I think what I will end up doing is make a "build log" with my computers current status and any upgrades I do in the future will get added to that

Thread URLhttp://linustechtips.com/main/topic/204111-red-and-black-build-log/
Description: My first computer build that I have been slowly upgrading over 2 years. Not technically "In Progress" since it will be another 6 months to a year until I actually get around to adding anything so it is staying the way it is for a while. You can't see it in the picture but if you go to my build log I have some pictures of the red LED underglow behind the motherboard. The camera doesn't capture it well but in person it looks great!

Descriptionh My computer is my 3rd build. Im a 14 year old and based this build off a balance of performance and looks. Now you may be wondering why smurf? originally smurf was a tagname because my pc was small and blue. Its changed greatly from that but i kept the name ;)
