Mini HDMI (I think?) Video cuts out when I move the cable

Randomacts
Go to solution Solved by beebskadoo,

My brother has a 560ti with mini HDMI, his card will no longer reliably connect through mini HDMI. It's a fairly common issue.

Use DVI, it's better.

It has been a long time non isuse really but I was wondering if this was a normal thing?

Normally the cable doesn't move so it doesn't matter... but I'm curious.

The GPU is a GTX 560ti and I think it is mini HDMI... to ofc HDMI on the monitor.

It works perfectly and my HDMI never moves...

The main reason using HDMI is useful for me is I have my speakers plugged into my monitor and my headphones plugged into the back of my computer.. I am able to switch between my headphones and my speakers without unplugging either by speaking the default audio device seemlessly.

Yeah, mini HDMI is finicky.

That is prob why my brother's 7870 myst edition has full sized HDMI + 2 display ports + 1 DVI  instead of 1 mini hdmi + 2 DVI lol
