G3. I own an M8, and I love it, but I would probably do a G3 because the screen.

I want to get a hold of 1 of the Google Project ara's once they're finally out in Jan,2015. I think in the UK the G3 costs the cheapest for a 32GB model etc. 5.5" is tough to work with, I find that I'll either keep my current HTC One X & upgrade to the One M8 if not iPhone 6 4.7" or THE MOZILLa PHONE :D

I haven't tried any of them for a prolonged period although they're all pretty great.

iPhone is always a solid choice. I'm personally using the 5s (from a razr maxx) because when the time came to upgrade all the phones were uncomfortably large for single handed use.

I'm not getting a new phone right now anyway, but was just curious as to how well they competed with each other.

I think that at some point they'll(all current smart/mobile phone brands) just all sit in a room and discuss how they will make a phone that is adaptive to the way you hold your device

hands down HTC M8. the g3's 1440p screen isnt as big of a deal as LG makes it. You likely will barely notice the extra resolution but will definitely feel how unnecessarily big the G3 is.

g3 can overheat (unless they fixed that somehow) so it might not be a good idea if you live in a heated area. i'd go with m8 or hell even a G2. i like my g2.

I'm an G3 owner and i haven't had issue with heat or the size but I think that's cause I had a note 3 previous so I'm used to big phones now. The screen is a little overkill but in a year all apps will support the screen res.

You read an article saying a G3 gets hot and might blow up and now they all do it. I would get the M8. Reason...the S5 is BIGGER than the M8 and is super wide. My wife has it an doesn't like it over her S4. I have an M8. The screen is better and the front speakers are a must now. The G3 (I also had a G2) the resolution doesn't fit the hardware and games will run worse. If you aren't playing games EVER I would say the G3. So M8, G3, S5.
