WD Green or WD Black for storage?

RRGT19

Hi,

I have a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB for my Windows 7 64bits.

And i have a WD Green 2 TB inside my case (Mini-ITX) to save my music and listen to it, save my movies and my games, photos, everything.

I constantly download file and i move it to the HDD.

So, i can sell the WD Green and i was thinking to buy a WD Black 2TB with the money.

the WD Black will be better?, it is noisy?.

Note: I hate noise.

You must be fun at parties!  :P

Anyway you want to be going for the black. Its faster and gives better performance.

The black is pretty fast, but it`s noisy and hot, for the boot drive it`s a nice option, but for storage you should go with the green, it`s cheaper, quieter and cooler :)

I agree. I was thinking of getting a WD Black when I was building my computer, but the Barracuda's price swayed me. Performance is not bad at all for a 7200rpm 3.5".

xD good good, also might I say if you ever see something and your only response is essentially repeating what the person already said or agreeing with them it's usually best to just hit the like button slightly less spam for the poster, and anyone following the thread.
