New cpu and motherboard since my BOD isn't going away

So recently I had an BOD (black screen of death not writing bsod since it will confuse with blue screen of....) :lol:and I think that I need to change my motherboard and cpu

Its time to upgrade

Any suggestions

I mainly game and video render just for fun.

Will try to record videos also.

I am mainly leaned towards 4690k but don't know whether it can suffice my needs

Pls suggest motherboard which will suffice for overclocking and is within 180 dollars

BOD? Do you mean BSOD? Having a BSOD doesn't mean you need a new CPU and motherboard.

it could just be RAM problems

 

check that or your HDD health

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

I don't know if you really need to upgrade, but if you want to then the 4690k will easily suffice in gaming and video rendering.

 

Here's a great motherboard imo.

well bsod, could also be "Big sack of donuts"....

Yeah could be ram problems but tried withoutram and no beeps

Still the same black screen of death(BOD) since it confuses with blue screenof death :D

Will a 4790k do any performance improvements in rendering in Sony Vegas Porto and adobe premiere and playing
