New case suggestions - h100i compatible and around £100

rtlkyuubi

Just recently upgraded my pc but still using the old case which is not ideal as I'm using a corsair h100i cooler. With my birthday coming up my parents want to get me one as a present, the reason for the strict £100 budget. Not concerned how big it is as I might upgrade to a custom loop later on but ideally needs a side window.

Your options will be greatly received!

170USD? easy,

4 relatively random cases that I think look nice.

Basically you have quite a lot to choose from, I don't advise fractal because honestly they just look boring as hell and as a result feel like a waste of money to me.

Also, I can vouch that

is a great case. LOADS of airflow and cable management room, and it looks pretty cool.

I can't remember how much it is, but DO NOT GET THE AZZA GENESIS 9000. It straight up sucks. poor airflow, poor design.

All the Corsair fanyboy-ism these days really turns me off from buying anything of theres, but the Air 540 is still a really well designed case. (Only complaint is the 3.5" HDD mounts are in the main chamber)

Then there is the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2, NZXT H440 and the Silverstone KL04B-W (Or the fancier Temjin variant). I have never seen the Silverstone case with a 240mm rad of any kind, but I'm pretty sure it's compatible.

SAMSUNG 850 EVO 250GB | CRYORIG M9i | BE QUIET! PURE WINGS 2| FRACTAL DESIGN DEFINE NANO S

Basically anything will be fine. I prefer Corsair 400R simply because I like boring cases with tons of space. It doesn't really matter though.

Git Gud.

Have you seen the 240? While it is an Matx, it has bottom fans in the main chamber instead of the 3.5 mounts. And there really isn't room for 3.5 inch drives in the back chamber on the 540, especially considering that chamber gets almost no airflow.

I'm the exact opposite, I can't understand why Fractal's products are so popular, they just look ugly to me. Is the Temnjin still out? I tried to find the one Linus has in his personal build but that seems to be OoS

We don't have Rosewill in the UK, at least I don't think we do. The H440 is a nice case, as is the 750D.

That's a shame about the rosewill. Since the biggest case ever, the blackhawk ultra is less than 200 usd, and so massive linus could use it as a bedroom.

I for one love the CM storm trooper's looks. Also, check out the Cooler Master Haf Stacker. It's amazing for it's price. Modular, made for water cooling, and under 200 usd as well (I wanna say under 150 usd)

sonofabitch I was about to say that almost word for word.

But yeah, /thread Phanteks is in the house. Especially since you mentioned a custom loop, the Enthoo Pro is a good option. Ridiculously good watercooling capabilities at a relatively cheap $100USD. At the $140ish price point there's even the Enthoo Luxe for the more LED-oriented of us.
