New to Ubuntu

Hey Everyone,

Well if you have seen some of my more recent posts you would know i have been cursed by the computer gods. Most recently by Microsoft. Since i am no longer able to install windows i have decided to go back to Linux. Installed ubuntu 14.04 last night. First experience with Linux since RedHat, lol, I was just curious if some of you more veteran users could give me some suggestions on software to look for to help make this transition easier.

Gimp is honestly more of a Photoshop replacement.

I'm used to installing Xubuntu and Elementary OS (they don't come with one). :P

Steam is available for Ubuntu, but there are a lot less games for Linux.

Gimp is honestly more of a Photoshop replacement.

But for Ubuntu... As I recall it doesn't come with a paint program out of the box.
