WD router with storage?

is this a good product?

im thinking about getting one to do a backup of my computer. this way it will auto backup everything nightly,  AND i will be able to access the backups from anywhere.  will this do it?

They are pretty good, though if you already have a good router it is better to get a cheap NAS (or get a cheap nas and a better router)

 

Personally I would get a 2 bay nas, then one drive can be your backup and the otherdrive will be a mirror incase the drive fails

This or get a nas with a dual nic so you can set it up as a router...

$100 is reasonable, but if you already have a good router I would still recommend a dedicated NAS

 

though if you DO need a new router I guess its not a bad deal

Would I be able to use this WD router as a dropbox type personal cloud storage?
