Power related question

PhiberOptik

I have a OCZ ZX 1000w PSU. I have recently started folding again on my computer with a ASUS GTX780 DCU2 OC and a i7 970 at stock. Before I was running 2 GTX 460 Hawk Talon Attack GPUs and folding on those with a i7 970 at stock.
Do I have enough power to handle the 3 gpus and processor folding?
I do not have enough pcie 6+2 connectors for the motherboard supplemental power connector and the cards so where should I use a dual molex to six pin adapter, or do I not need one?
Should I use the dual molex to six pin adapter at all, or just stick to 2 cards?

I have been searching for a long time now to find a write up or something telling me when to use the motherboard supplemental connector and when to not use it. I just don't understand how to power my rig and the more I read the more confusing it gets. I should have plenty of watts for everything, I just don't want to overheat a connector drawing too much power from it. The main part I do not understand is figuring out how much power the actual motherboard pcie lanes are capable of handling. It says 75 watts, then I read graphics cards were designed to only pull 75 watts, which means to run 2 I would need the connector, but what about 3? Then in some cases I have heard you do not need the connector and I have seen people run 4 cards without it and heard you only need it for rediculous overclocks which makes no sense with the research so now I'm just lost lol. I guess it left me asking watt.

I think you do have enough PCI-E connectors since in this review it says that there are 6 6+2 PCI-E pin connectors unless you lost some of them: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story2&reid=238

Personally I would not use molex connectors to connect your card as molex are not designed to draw alot of current but if you really had to I would use those molex connectors on your gtx 460 and not on your 780.
