Why do SO MANY PC gamers play Battlefield?

Internet Swag

Almost every thread I see, GPU or CPU, AMD or Nvidia, Intel or AMD there's like a 80% chance that it will be for BF4.

I'm like wtf, looking at old threads about GPU's like the 7990, people are asking if it'll run BF3 at 120fps.

Why do so many of you people play BF4? Does no one else play anything other than FPS? -_-

Why not? It's pretty much the standard modern shooter of 2014.

I've yet to play anything from the Battlefield series. I might take a look sometime if I can be arsed.

BF series = one of if not the best war games series on large maps and it is published by a popular publisher so yes many people are going to talk about the games and play them.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

BF3 is a well-optimized PC title with advantages over the ps3/360 version like 64 player lobbies etc.

Lets look at the fundamental reason why one would play a game: because they like it.

I have not played it YET. But from what I've seen on YouTube, I know I'm gonna like it because of the amount of realism. That's what I like a game to have.

The year is 20XX. Everyone plays Fox at TAS levels of perfection. Because of this, the winner of a match depends solely on port priority. The RPS metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the only remaining factor to decide matches.

Only Abate, Axe, and Wobbles can save us.

Because it used to be good and those who played the older games back in the day continue to play it because they've deluded themselves into thinking that it's as good or better than the older games. Then there's the new people who haven't played the older ones and thus don't know how a proper BF game should play in addition to having little to no taste when it comes to shooters because pretty much every large FPS with a big name behind it has been utter shit for the last five or so years.

its a quite graphic intensive game and is good to stress hardware, also a good game.. console gamers tend to be younger as its cheaper and easier to console game therfore they play COD. i also play games like titanfall, TF2,

Thats a good question, because Battlefield 4 makes me rage like nothing else, but it is still fun and I play it.  The game is in shambles, even after the net code fix, it still doesn't play as you would expect.  One of those love/hate things.  Oh, also BF3 was given away for free a few months ago by Origin.

Because it's fucking Battlefield. What kind of a question is this? BF1942 was a PC exclusive and every game was epic up until BF3 where DICE just gave no more fucks about the community anymore imo. It's still a fun game if you can look through the bugs and the shitty ass community.

This is like asking why people smoke, drink, or stare at walls drooling. It's cause it's "fun". How you define fun is up to you. That or people are so afraid of not being in with the hip, hop, and coolio shit on the market right now and they'll never be individuals with their own tastes.

Because the Battlefield and CoD series are the watercooler Stockholm Syndrome feeders of schools and workplaces around the world, where if you don't play what the frat boys and kewl keedz are playing you'll have nothing to talk about.

It is why new AAA games all have no problem selling a million pre orders, because people are so socially insecure that if they're left out of the loop for a day they'll slit their wrists.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

I liked it better when everyone talked about Pokémon. Hell, I liked it better even though I didn't get into Pokémon until recently. And I loved it when I found out that my art teacher plays Yu-Gi-Oh! and teaches students how to play. Brings back memories even though I don't play and only watched the anime.

Now it's CoD this, BF that, Angry Birds this, and Candy Crush that.

It's a world of gaming that is noob friendly, Master friendly, hardcore and casual friendly while not having to collide uncompatible players

Ex: noobs and hackers get sucked in TDM while Masters get sucked in Masssive mixedmode servers.

Hardcores and low information play hardcore, people good with information overload and casuals play Normal mode

note: I never rage, ain't nobody got time for that.

1 thing that cna happen is that if there are too many noobs ruining my experience I go Elitist Fascist mode.

( temporary exclude  noobs from universal principles and rape them with relative principles )

Rational stuff you don't want to know.

Which is also fun, I might actually go rape noobs in another game and alternate game noob raping, that's one way I nurture the games I play.

In BF3 I never had to do that (well except in the begning I was left no choice with over 9000 SPM)

In BF4 There are no Mixedmode NA servers and the EU servers are also very lacking.

I am BF4 homeless :(  ( destroys everynoob in it's path for temporary home)

Battlefield 4 is REALLY nice you should try it out i like to play team deathmatch a lot and the graphics are amazing this is the reason it's used a lot for benchmarking and compairing hardware and stuff...best game available on PC IMHO.
