Project; Protheus (WIP)

Fairliner

Hey Guys! Wanted to make my first post special by posting my first ever case mod. It's just a simple cut out on the side panel. The whole purpose was to actually remove the top 140mm vent from the 690ii in order to give more direct airflow in the system, and seeing as I never used the top mount why not remove it? The rest of the mod consists of a new deep blue finish on all the mesh down the middle of the case, but I still need idea's as to what to do otherwise to the exterior to the case. Other small modifications include:

-Mounting my old kingston ram fan unit to the front of the case (On the top of the existing 120mm)

-PSU Shroud for cable management (WIP)

-Potential white paint finish on the black exterior (WIP, open to suggestions)

Looks good man, as a someone who has cut a sidewindow for my R4 you've done a good job.

Would you think about removing the stickers and throwing some paint on the outside of the case?

That was one of the idea's I was thinking of making it more, Oblivion (The movie) or portal esque on the paint scheme by refinishing all the black with a pearl white.

Pearl white would look awesome!

And also, to get rid of what I think is really tacky chrome trimming, maybe painting that flat black?

Been holding onto this old chassis since it first released and landed on my doorstep, a hand-me-down from my father actually! Take alot of inspiration from his old gaming days back when UT2K4 was still a thing. Glad to have carried on his gaming legacy and make his dream machine both his and mine. A custom waterloop will be in the works in the next year or so but that is for another time. Paint scheme's are still debatable as to what I am going to do, but we will have to see.

Finished the airflow configuration in the system today! (For now) Next to update the h100i's fans to corsairs SP120 LED fans! and give the case a little more blue inside.
