Anyone have one of these keyboards?

So I just got my Corsair M40. And I love it. But, now I will be needing a new keyboard, since I have to use a cheaper Logitech wireless keyboard for now to game with. So, to the people that have a Corsair K70 with Cherry Reds and red back-lighting, how nice is it?

I like it. The keys to replace the stock wasd caps is a nice touch too. As far as the key switches go they're just standard reds but the aluminum deck makes it feel a lot more premium. Not to mention it looks cool.

You won't be disappointed with any Mechanical keyboard once you switch from a cheap-o rubberdome

i have it and love it. only difference is that i have the blue and silver version that they discontinued.

My friend has one of those with blue switches. He's had 10 lights die on it already after 3 months of ownership and he's going to RMA it soon.

This only happens with the silver and blue K70 for some reason. Never herd of anyone's black and red K70's having to be RMA'd.

Well... I am a mechanical newbie. I like the feel of blues, other than the click. I think Linus did a video, but I can't find it. Might have been JayzTwoCents. Not sure anymore.

 

EDIT: It was Tek Syndicate's video that I liked. Found it though.

I came to the conclusion that I will not like reds. I'm used to my netbook keyboard (which I can only really compare to a blue switch in terms of force and an actuation point, even though they bottom out to actuate).

 

So I need a linear MX switch with a similar force requirement as the MX Blues (NO CLICK!!!), but still have it be a K70 with red backlighting.

If you want heavier reds then blacks are the way to go, although they are getting rarer and rarer every day.

As far as I know Corsair has never made a keyboard with MX Blacks, only Reds, Browns and Blues, and even then mostly Reds. I would look at other manufacturers like CM Storm and Ducky if you want Blacks.

Browns are not quite as loud as blues (tactile bump only) but are lighter than Blues. MX Clears are heavier option for Browns but are only found in a very few keyboards from smaller manufacturers.

Im not the biggest fan of the size of the gap for the keycaps. a lot gets under them but other than that no complaints. i love the media controls in the upper right

i have a k70 with blue switches and red back light, had it for about 6 months now no dead lights. really easy to clean out dust since the keys are popped out more, it has a nice clean look since  it's brushed aluminunmnmnmnm  and it's strong :^)
