Fractal Designs Integra M series of power supplies: No type R

So fractal is trying to get a share of the psu market sadly branding is everything and they have failed at that, take coolermaster and corsair, both have easy ways of indentifying the power supplies eg the cs series or the v series.

Anyways they may lose out on the branding side but can they make it up in other parts of the power supply.

So the power supplies are 80+ bronze and they are semi modular, only the 24pin(can be broken to a 20pin) is stuck on. *correction the cpu power cable is also stuck on however it is a flat ribbon like cable

There is also a 140mm fan to cool them parts because bronze psus give off this scary stuff called heat, sucks i know, my bloody room is at 35oc and i blame my psu i doubt my gpu at 80oc has anything to do with it, i probably shouldnt try to do news and play games at the same time.

Back on topic the power supply comes in 450,550,650,750 with a £5($10) price difference between the lot.

Only three years of warrenty, cant believe this, anything under 50 years cant be trusted. That was a joke calm yourselves.

It doesnt chicken out with the C6 and C7 power constraints that haswell(and above) provide.

I am severly disappointed at the lack of Type-R.

I got an Integra 650W PSU and it had horrid coil whine, sent an RMA and accidently got a 750w unit back. That victory was short lived since the replacement unit still had horrid coil whine. Avoid Fractal PSUs, at least the Integra line. Unless loud whining is your fetish.
