I rip from cd's. I guess I'm weird.

Spotify because they have a huge Danish library and it's free!

 

Edit: also there is 9 km's to school and I take the bus every morning

spotify's not free though...it's $5 USD and you can download as much music as you want per month.

iTunes, as much as I hate it, spotify on occasion and physical CDs.

I find the song on YouTube and I then use some random YouTube to MP3 converter. Easy as pie.

I grab them off of Youtube. Why pay $1.29 for a scratchy 128kbps song when you can get a beautiful 320kbps one for nothing? I know it's technically piracy, but by that logic, anyone that ever used a video cassette recorder should be in prison. yet the sites have not been killed, so to rip off I will continue. Prices for songs are completely arbitrary anyway, they don't really have to sell them for $1.29. Really, if artists don't want their songs ripped off, they shouldn't put them on Youtube, but they have to to get noticed in this day and age. These people make absolute bank anyway, so what should happen is that people can get their music off of youtube like us poor folk do, and if people appreciate their music they can donate or pay to go to a concert or buy insert-artist-name-here merchandise, because as soon as the music is uploaded to the internet, it is immediately replicated so many times that it is impossible to get it off the internet. That's how the internet works.

In the past, private trackers or simply googling the Album name. Can easily find downloads on megaupload or equivalent.

These days, I don't download music or listen to any. If I do want to listen to something, I put it on repeat on Youtube as background music for reading.
