Just finished building my computer today and I'm really happy with it except for one thing. For some reason when I watch any videos or play any games I get a lot of screen tearing on my monitor. If the game has v-sync then the screen is smooth. But I want to be able to watch videos and play other games that don't have v-sync. Can anyone help me out with this tearing issue?

  • I've downloaded the latest NVIDIA driver released yesterday
  • I've finished checking for windows updates
  • Monitor works just fine. It also didn't have any tearing when I hooked it up to my mom's laptop
  • Tried downloading monitor drivers from the acer website but there wasn't setup file or .exe file
  • Maybe it's my settings on my graphics card? Idk

It's been a long day and I need sleep haha. Will check back asap when I wake up tomorrow.
