840 Evo as a boot drive

NeatSquidYT

Hi, as you can see from the title, after I get my build I want to save up for an 870 and an 840 evo. Now, I will already have W8.1 on my Caviar Black, is there a way to transfer the boot drive from the WD to the EVO without formatting the HDD? Thanks

install the SSD and then use samsung magician software to clone your main drive, this usually works i believe

But I only want the 120GB version of the Evo, so can I just copy the windows files?

The Samsung Transfer Tool works great. I have used it and now I only have a 840 evo in my system and it is fast than Ship Enterprise!
