To answer your Question, probably a S4.

But....

Do you actually want/need a smartphone.?
what is your budget?
What features do you want/need
Why are you limiting yourself to those? Why not a S5? Have you considered a Nexus or a One plus one. I know they are pretty popular on this forum.

I've had my S4 for over a year now (bought it at launch) and it is still pretty fantastic. All of the fancy gesture controls are worthless in my opinion even though they looked neat. It is generally pretty quick and snappy moving between apps and whatnot. Good investment. I am with Linus about the rear facing speaker though.... god that bugs the hell out of me.

 

I don't have experience with the s3 but the s4 gets my seal of approval for what it's worth.

If you don't have a Hard-on for Samsung, get the m7, as it now has pretty decent software with Sense 6

If you can find an invite i would go with the one plus one. if not go with the HTC M8 the M8 is a solid phone.
