Palit 780 or Tri x 290

I literally have both of these cards sitting on my desk right now. The 780 is new and unopened. 
Which one should I keep? 
I might upgrade to 3 monitors in the future.

If you are upgrading to 3 monitors into the future then the 290 is far more better.
