My brother wants a mid tier level PC, Need help with parts for certain case.

Hello guys, my brother wants to get into the PC gaming scene. He tried my custom built but now wants one of his own. He said he's not too worry about ultra/max graphics as he only wants to spend $800 tops. I tried showing him several builds but he is stuck on 2 cases which im just not too familiar with. They are:

BitFenix Colossus MIni/ITX

http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/chassis/colossus-mini-itx#specs

and

BitFenix Colussus Micro/ATX

http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/chassis/colossus-micro-atx/

I'm not too sure what the difference are for the two. I'm thinking it has to do with what motherboard the case is compatible with. Anywho i have never tried building a pc with a micro/mini case in mind. That's new territory i have never crossed. Can i get one of you guys to do my dirty work > :) and build a semi budget PC(>$800) with either of those 2 cases in mind. The PC only needs to play most games at medium to high detail.

Would this build work? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mdXD7P

For some reason, I was thinking maybe you could get by with an anniversary pentium chip which is really good considering its price point. Throw in a 120GB SSD with the savings, a 1TB WD blue for mass storage and be able to get a beastly mid-range graphics card. I say at this budget, you'll be using a single gpu and for a single gpu, you don't really need anything over 400-500w in the psu department.

Yes, the build would work. I think though that an Intel build with an ssd would be much better.
